TERMS & CONDITIONS
Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be substituted for cash or any other product.
Partial cancellations of one (or multiple) tour components(s) are not permitted.
You can drive on K’gari if: You are 21 years of age with 2 years of driving experience. Hold a valid driving license. If your driver’s license is not written in full English it must be accompanied by an international driver’s license. No photocopies will be accepted.
Guests are responsible for any damages that occur while on tour as a result of negligence – this includes at the campsite, in the vehicles, or if you are staying at Nomads Noosa.
We do not take responsibility and will not compensate for any loss or damage to your personal property whilst in storage or when on tour.
Date changes are permitted 7 days prior to your package start date.
Cancellations are permitted up to 7 days prior to your package start date and incur a 5% cancellation fee.
If you miss your departure date or cancel within 7 days of your package start date a 100% cancellation fee applies.
Tour itineraries can change without notice. Tidal, weather, injury, illness or vehicle issues and may be altered at the operator’s discretion at any time without prior notice. Tours are unlikely to be canceled unless the authorities deem access to the island to be unsafe. If weather conditions make it impossible to reach the island we will contact you as soon as we know we are unable to travel to reschedule your voucher. If rescheduling is not possible then please refer to your point of purchase/agent.
Typical events in Queensland can be cyclones, flash flooding or bush fires and for this reason, we highly recommend travel insurance.

The guide can remove a guest(s) from the tour for any behaviour deemed unruly.
Guests are responsible for personal management of any medical conditions and costs associated with emergency evacuation from the Island due to illness or injury and for these reasons, we highly recommend travel insurance.
Public Holiday and Credit card Surcharges
Tours departing, or tours that fall over a public holiday incur a surcharge and payable at the time of booking. A surcharge applies with all credit card payments.
Travel Insurance
Island Expeditions™ & K’gari Safari™ recommend that all guests obtain personal travel insurance prior to participation.
Cancellations
- Changes / cancellations permitted up to 7 days prior to your *Tour.
*defined as 18:00 local time, the day before the tour departs as this is the start time of the safety briefing. - Cancellations incur a 5% fee. Credit card fees are non-refundable.
- Cancellations with less than 7 days notice or no shows incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- If you have booked accommodation at Nomads Noosa as part of your package, no shows are non refundable and the 7 day cancellation/change policy applies.

Tours are unlikely to be canceled unless the Authorities deem access to the Island to be unsafe. If weather conditions make it impossible to reach the Island we will make contact as soon as we know we are unable to travel to reschedule your voucher.
Open Dated Tickets
All open dated tickets and accommodation are subject to availability. We advise booking your Island Expeditions™ & K’gari Safari™ tour and accommodation at least 14 days in advance (21 days during Nov to Apr). Date changes incur a $40 surcharge per passenger.
To book in your date please email Island Expeditions™ and provide your preferred departure date and voucher number.
- If your package includes accommodation, you will be accommodated in a 16 bed mixed dorm with ensuite shower and a toilet facilities.
- All camping and cooking equipment (pre set up tents with mattress & pillow)
- Main meals – Day 1(Lunch/Dinner), Day 2 (B’fast/Lunch/Dinner) Day 3 (B’fast/Lunch)
- 4WD vehicle
- Professional & knowledgeable guide
- Return ferry transfer
- National Park fees
- Vehicle insurance excess fee
- Sleep bag and pillow case ($20 cash deposit applies, fully refunded when returned)
Validity
Tour and accommodation vouchers are valid for twelve months from date of booking.
