TERMS & CONDITIONS
Customers must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age to use this website and by booking our tour, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and may legally agree to our terms and conditions. K’gari Tours assumes no responsibility or liability for any misrepresentation of your age.
Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be substituted for cash or any other product.
Partial cancellations of one (or multiple) tour component(s) are not permitted.
You can drive on K’gari if: You are 21 years of age with 2 years of driving experience. Hold a valid driving license. If your driver’s license is not written in full English it must be accompanied by an international driver’s license. No photocopies will be accepted.
We do not take responsibility and will not compensate for any loss or damage to your personal property whilst in storage or when on tour.
Please note that tour departures and itineraries may be subject to change due to factors such as tides, weather, injury, illness, or vehicle issues at the operator’s discretion, without prior notice. While tours are generally not canceled unless authorities deem access to the island unsafe, in cases where weather conditions prevent travel or access to the island, we will contact you promptly to inform you of the situation.
If the operator cancels the tour, we will offer options to reschedule your voucher or provide an open date for future use, as long as the voucher remains valid. If rescheduling is not possible, please refer to the point of purchase or agent for their terms and conditions regarding cancellations.
Due to the possibility of typical Queensland events such as cyclones, flash flooding, or bushfires, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. For up-to-date weather information, we suggest consulting the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website 7 to 10 days prior to departure to ensure alignment with our cancellation and date change policy.
Guests are responsible for any damages that occur while on tour as a result of negligence. This includes at the campsite or if you are staying at Nomads Noosa or when driving.
All drivers complete a car hire rental agreement and this comes with a base level of insurance. This provides base level cover for damage to the Island 4×4 Hire Pty Ltd vehicles (ie. any damage to the vehicle that you are hiring) and associated towing, recovery and assessment charges. This does not include damage to any other vehicles and or property. This means that if the damage to the Island 4×4 Hire Pty Ltd vehicle that you are driving is below the base level, you are covered; but if the damage is above you are liable for any additional costs. There is an option to pay additional insurance of either $50 or $100 on the day of departure and this increases your base level cover from $1,500 to $4,000 or $8,000 respectively.
Bags are stored free of charge either in Noosa or in Rainbow Beach. We do not take responsibility and will not compensate for any loss or damage of your personal property whilst in storage or when on tour.
The guide can remove a guest(s) from the tour for any behaviour deemed unruly.
Guests are responsible for personal management of any medical conditions and costs associated with emergency evacuation from the Island due to illness or injury and for these reasons, we highly recommend travel insurance.
Surcharges
A surcharge applies for tours departing on or over a public holiday and is included in the price at time of booking.
For credit card payments a surcharge is applied and is non refundable.
Tour prices are based on prevailing fuel and transport costs as at 28 February 2026, including vehicle fuel and barge transport costs.
If there is an increase of more than [5–8%] in relevant fuel or transport costs compared to those costs as at that date, the operator reserves the right to apply a surcharge to reflect the increased cost of operating the tour surcharge will be reasonable, proportionate, and limited to the actual additional cost incurred by the operator.
Customers will be notified of any surcharge prior to departure. If the surcharge exceeds 10% of the total booking value, the customer may elect to cancel the booking and receive a full refund of all monies paid, subject to cancellation terms & conditions.
Travel Insurance
Island Expeditions™ & K’gari Safari™ & K’gari Swag Adventure™ recommend that all guests obtain personal travel insurance prior to participation.
Cancellations
Your itinerary is subject to weather and tidal conditions and may be altered at the operator’s discretion at any time without prior notice. Tours are unlikely to be canceled unless the Authorities deem access to the Island to be unsafe. If weather conditions make it impossible to reach the Island we will contact you via email as soon as we know we are unable to travel with options to reschedule.
- Changes / cancellations are permitted up to 7 days before your package start date.
- Cancellations incur a 5% fee. Credit card fees are non-refundable.
- Cancellations with less than 7 days notice or no shows incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- If you have booked accommodation at Nomads Noosa as part of your package, no shows are non refundable and the 7 day cancellation/change policy applies.
Dietary & Allergy Disclaimer
We aim to accommodate a range of dietary requirements and allergies whenever reasonably possible. However, due to the nature of our tours, shared kitchen facilities, and the use of externally sourced food products, we cannot guarantee that meals or preparation areas will be free from allergens, and cross-contamination may occur.
Circumstances beyond our control, including other guests bringing and consuming their own food, also present a potential risk of inadvertent allergen exposure.
By participating in the tour, you acknowledge and accept these risks and remain responsible for managing your own dietary requirements. We strongly recommend that guests with allergies take appropriate precautions, including carrying any necessary medication.

Inclusions
- If your package includes accommodation at Nomads Noosa, you will be placed in a 16 bed mixed dorm with an ensuite shower and toilet facilities.
- All camping and cooking equipment (pre set up tents with mattress & pillow)
- Main meals – Day 1(Lunch/Dinner), Day 2 (B’fast/Lunch/Dinner) Day 3 (B’fast/Lunch)
- 4WD vehicle
- Professional & knowledgeable guide
- Return ferry transfer
- National Park fees
- Vehicle insurance basic cover.
- Sleeping and pillow case (winter) or Linen pack (summer) has a $20 cash deposit, fully refunded when returned (for K’gari Swag and Island Expeditions only).
Open Dated Tickets
All open dated tickets and accommodation are subject to availability. We advise booking your Island Expeditions™, K’gari Safari™ & K’gari Swag Adventure™ tour and accommodation at least 14 days in advance (21 days during Nov to Apr). Date changes incur a $40 surcharge per passenger.
Validity
Tour and accommodation vouchers are valid for twelve months from date of booking.
